I’m working on Sean and Rusty’s 5th story, a novella that will complete the story arc of their first year post-college. It’s been a rough year, starting off with Sean’s graduation, with lots of ups and downs, and they will have a huge decision to make, individually and together, before this rolling calendar year is up.
Then on to Levi and Clint’s story which I’ve got started a little bit. There’s a storyboard on Pinterest if you want to see what I’ve been drooling–uh–studying over.

Sean hasn’t had many happy holidays. Going home to New Orleans isn’t going to make this one any different. But for Rusty, he’s going to fake it and by happy because Rusty loves holidays, especially Christmas with his family. And Sean loves Rusty. Rusty is determined to make this Christmas different for Sean.
Will this be the year Rusty jingles Sean’s bell?
By the way, this story is longer, richer and meatier than all three previous stories put together. Novella length, this book digs down deep. It is stand alone. You don’t have to read the other three first. But if you do, you’ll find plenty of Easter eggs. (My friend says I need to explain, even though I’m sure I don’t. But to make my friend feel better: Per Wikipedia, an Easter egg is an intentional inside joke, hidden message, or feature in a work such as a computer program, movie, book, or crossword.)

Besides, this short novella is turning into a long novella. Maybe a short novel. And I promised myself that when writing about Sean and Rusty I’d let them dictate the story. No id- author-imposed rules. Total freedom for the ego-muse.
And it’s working. The story is there, good and solid and deep and meaningful ( I think–I hope. Not dwelling on that now, though.)
Soon. So, soon. I am so looking forward to letting Jingle My Bells make it’s world debut.
Off to write.
